Minnesota DFL chairman to run for re-election
ST. PAUL -- Minnesota DFL party chairman Ken Martin, after a successful 2018 campaign, announced Thursday, Nov. 8, that he will seek re-election to the post.
His party won the governorship, two U.S. Senate seats, six of eight seats in the U.S. House, all state constitutional offices and took back the state House.
“Over the last eight years Minnesota has become a model for how state parties operate and can make meaningful contributions in elections. We're financially stronger than ever and organized like never before,” Martin said. “When I ran for re-election two years ago, I said I had two goals – to elect a DFLer as governor and to defeat Donald Trump in 2020. One down – one to go.”
