WORTHINGTON — Law enforcement and medical personnel responded to a reported stabbing Wednesday morning.

According to Worthington Police Capt. Kevin Flynn, law enforcement received a report that an adult male had been stabbed in the 1300 block of Sixth Avenue at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday.

Upon arrival, officers and EMS personnel provided care on scene to an individual, who was later transported to Sanford Worthington for further treatment. The identity of the alleged victim and their condition was not released.

Flynn said a person of interest related to the matter has been identified. He said the situation appears to be domestic, and that officials do not believe there is any ongoing danger to the general public related to the incident.
