Hearing expert to speak Thursday at Center for Active Living
WORTHINGTON —The Center for Active Living will present a speaker and senior dining $2 meal deal, sponsored by Worthington Hearing Aid Service, on Thursday.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at the CAL, 211 11th St. The menu will include baked chicken, potato salad and vegetables.
Dr. Catherine Grange will talk about the health benefits of getting treated for hearing loss. Topics include the connection between serious diseases, such as diabetes and kidney disease, and hearing, as well as how untreated hearing loss can increase risks of dementia, depression and falling. Grange will also provide information on assistive hearing products as well as answer questions.
