WORTHINGTON — Edina Realty has arrived in Worthington.

Run by a two-woman realtor team of Staci Murphy and Renee Baerenwald, the company has set up a location in the Armory Business Center.

Murphy, a longtime Worthington resident, and Baerenwald, a Brewster native, have both been in real estate for more than a decade, spending much of that time working together at Johnson Builders & Realty. With that expertise, the two are ready to offer a new experience to those looking to buy or sell a home.

“People that know us know they received good service before,” Murphy said. “That will continue, and we hope to only become better with support from Edina.”

Murphy and Baerenwald got into the field for similar reasons. Simply put, finding someone their perfect home is a rewarding and fun experience.

“It’s a very personal career, because you really get to know the people you’re working for and working with, and you really get to know their families and their situations and you genuinely care about things turning out good for them,” Baerenwald said. “It’s so many different situations, and it’s very gratifying to help people.”

“I love finding people their home,” Murphy said. “It’s a big, major life event to buy a house, and to be part of that for someone is special.”

The two spoke highly of Edina Realty’s tools. The company has long been part of the multiple listing service (MLS), where competing real estate agencies share their clients with each other.

“You want to have your sellers’ property available to all agents for their potential buyers, because the end goal is to get their house sold,” Baerenwald said.

“Everybody’s working for the same goal — to keep their clients happy,” Murphy said.

The Worthington office aims to serve Nobles County and much of southwest Minnesota. It underwent an expedited transformation over the last few weeks in order to become a functioning office. More than anything, the two are happy to have a physical location.

“We’re just super stinking excited to get things started,” Baerenwald said. “We’ve been working out of our cars and dining room tables, so this is a step up.”

Edina Realty is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made for evenings and Saturdays by calling Baerenwald (370-0950) or Murphy (360-5197).
